Life Legacy

Funeral services for Larry Mike Henderson, 60 of Coweta will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with the Reverend Nick Garland and the Reverend Chris Elkins officiating. Larry was born December 1, 1951 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Bobbie and Ora Faye (Elkins) Henderson. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Larry worked for many years for FINA Oil Co. in the Dallas area and retired as a Product Trader for Alon-USA. He was a member of the FINA 25 year Club.

He was married to the former Paula Beth Chambers in Muskogee on May 19, 1973. They moved to Coweta in August of 2009 from Forney, TX and have been members of the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. The most important part of his life was serving the Lord, enjoying time with his family (This included cheering for OSU.) and helping others.

Larry passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Henderson in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Paula of the home; his mother, Ora Faye Henderson of Inola; two sons, Larry Matthew Henderson and his wife, Alis of Kingston, Rhode Island and Joshua Bryan Henderson and his wife, Elizabeth of Broken Arrow; two brothers, Ronnie Henderson and his wife, Judy of Wagoner and Jerry Henderson of Ft. Gibson; two granddaughters, Hannah and Bethany Henderson; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Josh Owusu, Jim Andrews, Tim Deary, Daryl Duncan, Jim McConnell and Ed Patton. Funeral arrangements and interment in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
