Life Legacy


Jack Earl Rogers was born December 9, 1936 in Muskogee, OK to Jess Toliver and Della Adene Rogers. He joined the United Statea Army at an early age and served two tours of duty. Jack considered himself an entrpreneur and owned a number of businesses through the years, including a tree service and a scrap service, before his retirement. His family recalls his good sense of humor and how he had nicknames for the children.

Jack died early Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home in Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carrol Rogers; his wife, Shanna Lee McCoy Rogers, and his grandparents who raised him, Mamie and H. C. Rogers.

Survivors include nine daughters, Sabrina Rogers of Lake Station, Indiana, J'Dene Rogers Gagnon and her husband, Wayne of Muskogee, Jackye Rogers Brown and her husband, Lance of Muskogee, Deena Rogers Bell, Kenna Morrison and her huaband, Justin of Howe, OK, Cara Rogers of Wagoner, Keri Gibson of Wagoner, Nikki Rogers of Muskogee and (Lauren) Bailey Rogers of Muskogee. Also, his grandchildren, Brandon Yandell, Samuel Gagnon, Joshua Brazil, Cooper, Landon and Lindsye Holman, Ali, Jamie, Zachary and George Jr. Bell, McKell, Connor, Tyler and Jordan Morrison; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibso, Oklahoma at 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012.
