Addylu Huggins was born August 27, 1932 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to William Melton and Eunice Lila (Grissom) Stratton. Addylu married Jack L. Huggins in 1952 in Olympia, Washington.

She earned a Master's degree and was employed as a case manager by the Department of Human Services for twenty years. She taught at Northwestern State University in Alva and at Oklahoma State Tech.

Addylu departed this life early Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Cherokee County Nursing Center in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Huggins, an infant son, William Neal Huggins, and her parents.

Survivors include three children, Deborah Huggins of Ft. Gibson, OK, Gary Huggins and his wife, Jan, of Wagoner, OK and John Huggins and his wife, Becky, of Langley, OK; grandchildren, Matthew Wilkey and wife, Lindsay, of Ft. Gibson, OK, Jamie Huggins and wife, Debra, of Wagoner, OK, Natalie Huggins of Wagoner, OK, Brent Huggins of Washington, D.C., Lindsay Huggins and Nick Greer of Aubrey, TX, Eric Huggins of Edmond, OK and Jentri Huggins of Langley, OK; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Posey, Landry, Conner, Wyatt, Zoey, Shelby, Slayde, Lexy, Ryan, Cooper, Kyler and Scarlytt.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Addylu's life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Wagoner. Officiating will be the Reverend Gloria Denton.
