Agnes LaVerne (Overall) Whitekiller was born June 14, 1929 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to William and Naomi (Lockmiller) Overall. She was a 1947 graduate of Wagoner High School. LaVerne was employed at the Wagoner office of the Department of Human Services before retirement. She was married to Chris Whitekiller for 68 years. They did many things together, including square dancing, and she liked to accompany him in his activities, such as the horse races or bowling. They were truly a devoted couple. LaVerne departed this life on Sunday, November 30, 2014, just two days after Chris's death on November 28, 2014. Others who preceded her include her parents; three sisters, Muriel Dial, Theresa Wood, and Glenna Smith; and a brother, Morris Allen Overall. Survivors include three children, LaRetta Faye Bates of Van Buren, Arkansas, Larry Chris Whitekiller of Lompoc, California, and Kathy Dale and her husband, Jerry, of Wagoner, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A double funeral service for LaVerne and Chris will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. Pastor Kelly Whitekiller will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be James Pipkins, Jerry Don Dale, Jerremy Dale, Donald Herd, Brent Page and Matt Whitekiller. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Page and Dan Easterling.
