Alpha Marie (Edward) Ross was born on April 15, 1931, to Elmer H Edward and Oma E (Albert) Edward in Henryetta, Oklahoma.  She married the love of her life, James Bardean Ross and they were happily married for 61 years until his passing in 2009.  She was an endearing wife, mother, and grandmother.

Alpha relished all things in life, never taking the simple things for granted. She was fond of fishing with cane poles on camping trips.  Creating art with crocheting was also something she appreciated.  Alpha was passionate about many things in life, but no love compared to the love of her family.  She savored every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Alpha departed this life on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Neosho, Missouri at the age of 93 years.  Preceding her in death are her parents, Elmer and Oma Edward; husband, James Bardean Ross; sister, Dorothy Wallace.

Surviving Alpha and treasuring the many memories of her life are her daughters, Aletrice Roberts and her husband, Bill of Neosho, MO., Brenda Kraft and her companion, James King of Bixby, OK., Jammie Crawford and her husband, Rick of Burlington, Iowa, and Dorothy Maillet and her husband, Dennis of Verdigris, OK; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephew and extended family who will miss her immensely.

The Family will greet friends at a Visitation on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner, OK.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at The National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 12:30 p.m.  Officiating will be Life Celebrant Mary Jane Whisnant.
