The funeral service for Alva Hoggatt will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel, 417 East Cherokee Street. Officiant will be Kevin Webster. Interment will follow in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. Alva's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Viewing will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Lilly Alva Hoggatt was born December 23, 1922 in Sterling, Oklahoma to Mary (Sims) and Littleton J. Brooks. She married Lloyd Edward Hoggatt on December 14, 1946 in Hollywood, CA.

Mrs. Hoggatt worked in an electronics assembly line for Century Electronics, who made parts for NSA.

In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, embroidery, leather work, baking and fishing.

Alva departed this life December 31, 2018 in Checotah, OK, having recently celebrated her 96 ^th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hoggatt, her parents, and two sisters, her twin, Rose Alma Lundy and Bina Iris Berryhill.

Survivors include her brother, Reed Brooks of Oklahoma City, OK; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Hoggatt of Checotah and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alva leaves a debt of gratitude to Carolyn and her family, who provided care for her in her last days.
