Anna Mae Jenkins was born February 5, 1930 in Clarksville, Oklahoma to William (Bill) and Edna F. (Miles) Hensley. Anna married John A. Jenkins on August 16, 1949, and they began a loving union that lasted 65 years. For many years Anna worked in the restaurant industry in a variety of positions, including waitress, cook and owner. She was a factory worker for Brockway Glass in Muskogee before her retirement in 1995. Anna departed this life Tuesday evening, November 18, 2014, at Eastar Hospital in Muskogee. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Todd Lloyd Hensley. She is survived by her loving family, who include her husband, John Jenkins of the home; three children, Larry Gene Jenkins and his wife, Katherine, of Porter, Shirley Ann Graham of Muskogee, and Tracy Lynn Bryant and her special friend, Guy Runyon, of Ganns, OK; two brothers, William Hensley and wife, Blanch and John Henry Hensley and his wife, Raydale; other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Porter, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. Viewing will begin Friday morning.
