Arthur David "Art" Sherrick was born January 20, 1978 in Wilson, North Carolina. He moved to Oklahoma with his family in 1985. Art was interested in business at an early age; he was an active member of FBLA in high school and an excellent student. He was an alumnus of Oklahoma State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, along with five minors. While in school Art worked as an analyst for Williams Company in the Gas Division. He was also employed at St. John Medical Center and other oil companies. Art was currently a Project Manager for Verizon. Art departed this life Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his Tulsa, Oklahoma home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Sherrick, in 2010; his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather; and all of his great-grandparents. Survivors include his father, Leslie Otto "Les" Sherrick of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his sister, Rebecca Elizabeth Webb, whom he lovingly always called "Sis", of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his paternal grandmother, Ella Faye Webb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends will gather for a Visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday evening at Mallett Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner.
