Ford
August 14, 1945 – January 10, 2021
On August 14, 1945 a baby girl was born to Clarence Ford and Ophelia (Griffin) Ford. They named her Barbara Ann Ford. Barbara was a lifelong Wagoner resident. She attended Lincoln High School in Wagoner, OK. Before retirement she worked as a cook for several years.
Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and attended her home church, Union Baptist, for many years. She loved her church family.
She met the love of her life, William Charles Ashley Sr., and to this union two children were born. Then she met Hayes Robbins Jr., and to this union three boys were born.
Barbara passed this life on January 10, 2021 at Wagoner Community Hospital at the age of 75 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Gary Slaughter, Clarence Ford Jr., Luke Ford and Lynnwood Ford; sisters, Bonnie Sue Wells, Linda Smith, Doris Reynolds, and Gloria Jean Smith; one son, William Charles Ashley Jr.; and one granddaughter, Kayla Brianne Robbins.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Yolanda Sharee Gilford (Tony) of Wagoner, OK; three sons, Brian Keith Robbins of Wagoner, OK, Antwione Deshun Robbins of Broken Arrow, OK, and Micco Dewan Robbins of Nooksack, WA; one brother, Curtis Ford; twelve grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her best friends, Joann Roberson of Wagoner, OK; Hattie Mae Hankins of Owasso, OK, and Arcille Wood of Las Vegas, NV; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who love and miss her very much; other extended family and friends.
Family and friends may call for viewing Thursday beginning at 11:00 am until 5:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Union Baptist Church, 511 Southwest 5th Street, Wagoner, OK.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner.
Those in attendance are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
