Beatrice O. Bean was born August 25, 1927 in Akins, OK to James and Pearl Ann (Gardenhire) Duty. She married John Bean on May 16, 1955. They made their home in the Sand Springs area for many years before relocating to Wagoner, OK.
From 1947 until 1961 Beatrice was employed at the Commander Mills in Sand Springs, OK (a cotton mill) as a spinner. Following that she was employed at the Green Stamp Store, Hollywood Dress Shop and the T G and Y Family Center before retiring to be a full time homemaker.
She enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to worship music, as well as spending time with her sister, Dorothy and family.
At the time of Beatrice's passing on December 13, 2020, she was making her home in Fort Worth, TX. She was 93 years of age. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, John Bean; her children, Janice Wright and Terry Bean; father, James Duty; mother, Pearl Duty; brother, Fred Duty and Ed Duty and sisters, Tressie Tannehill, Mae Norris and Dorothy Brown.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
