Beatrice Betty Jo (Mooring) Dickson was born November 12, 1924 in Wagoner, OK to Luther and Anna (Burke) Mooring. After graduating from high school Beatrice attended the Ladies' Business School in Tulsa. Her training stood her well while she lived in Arizona and worked for Motorola. After that Beatrice became a full time homemaker.

In her early years Beatrice played the piano as part of a quartet with her father and sister that played around Wagoner and other places. She was a natural and gifted pianist and was very involved with the music ministry in her church in Springdale, AR, before living in Tulsa and Claremore and finally moving to Chouteau in April, 2015. Beatrice loved to read her Bible and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Her family fondly recalls her as a good grandmother.

Beatrice departed this life Saturday afternoon, May 21, 2016, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Chouteau, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayman Dickson Sr., three children, Wayman Dickson Jr., Mike Betts and Mary Betts, and her parents, Luther and Anna.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Andrea Perkins and her husband, Mark, of Chouteau, OK and Christina Duvall and her husband, Craig, of Welch, OK; a grandson, Leon Charles Sumner and wife, Christi, of Washington; great-grandchildren, Vanessa Huckaby, Kelsey Duvall, Brent Duvall, Darrell Sumner, and Charles Sumner, Jr.; two great-great-grandchildren, Ronnie and Lexi Huckaby.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner.   Officiating will be the Rev. Rick Phillips.

Interment will be in the Sonora Cemetery in Springdale, AR.
