Obituary

Bette Merle Stelling was born October 2, 1928 in Lockport, Illinois to Oscar and Florence (Munson) Johnson. She married Don Stelling on July 22, 1951, and they shared a life together for more than 65 years. Bette loved the outdoors. She was an avid fisher lady and enjoyed birdwatching, especially hummingbirds. Bette liked crocheting and painting and was known as a good cook and baker. She liked to watch the Olympics on television, particularly figure skating.

Bette departed this life early Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Wagoner Health and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Elaine Stelling. L. Johnson, and Jean Dahalgrun.

Survivors include her loving husband, Don Stelling of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Tina Stelling of Wagoner; a brother, Oscar Johnson of Lockport, IL; grandchildren, Brandy Failes and husband, Richard, of Coweta, OK, Frances Michelle Satterfield and husband, Kevin, of Coweta, OK, Donald (Donnie) E. Stelling, Jr. and wife, Lindsey of Claremore, OK, Cody Fraser and his wife, Ashley, of Sapulpa, OK and Colby Fraser of Oklahoma City, OK; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces , nephews, other family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.
