Betty Carol (Cantrell) Davis was born July 18, 1936 in Wagoner, OK to Clour William and Lois (Cue) Cantrell and was a lifelong resident of Wagoner, OK.
Betty was married to John Earl Davis April 3, 1953, and they were married until John's death November 19, 2008. Their lives were blessed with 7 children, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook, although she often tried new recipes then fussed about not liking them. Her family especially enjoyed and looked forward to her homemade hot rolls, fudge and peanut brittle.
She thoroughly enjoyed working alongside chiropractors Dr. James Lindsay until his retirement then with Dr. Marty Shearwood at their clinics in Wagoner until her retirement. Although Betty disliked idleness, she did enjoy sitting on her porch especially when visiting with family and friends. Up until she was no longer able, Betty also enjoyed doing yardwork.
Betty departed this life July 12, 2022 at her home after an extended struggle against dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clour and Lois Cantrell; husband, John E Davis; eldest son, Johnny Wayne Davis and daughter-in-law Cindy Davis; great-grandson Coleman Bo Robbins; brothers: Bob, Ted, Donald and Doyle; sisters-in-law Edna and Donna Cantrell and son-in-law Lynn Shrum.
Betty is survived by three sons Mike, James and Matt; three daughters Debbie Moore and husband John, Karen Shrum, Tina Goff and husband Eric; sister Lynn Borum and husband Mike, her grandchildren and great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside service and interment will be held Monday, July 18th @ 2:00 pm graveside at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Pastor Eric Goff.
Viewing will be Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday.
