Funeral services for Betty Jane (Lovelady) Gotcher, 76, long-time resident of Wagoner will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Wagoner with the Reverend Bill Phillips officiating. Betty was born January 17, 1934 in Lamar, Arkansas to her parents, Arch Dobson and Oda Augustia (Owen) Lovelady. At a young age, her family moved to Checotah, Oklahoma where Betty grew up and attended school. For a time, she owned and operated a restaurant in Muskogee and later worked as a health care provider at nursing homes in the area. On July 11, 1974 she was united in marriage to John Gotcher and made their home in Wagoner. Above her work, Betty was always a homemaker and she loved to cook and fish. She was also a very dedicated member of her church and always involved with the young people in her church. Surrounded by her family, Betty passed away Saturday, July3 at their lake home near Wagoner. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her three brothers, Aubrey, Jim Bill and Ray Lovelady. She is survived by her husband, John Gotcher of the home; her children, Gary Morgan and his wife, Tana of Allen , Texas, Lynn Reynolds and her husband, Steve of Tulsa and Steve Morgan and his wife, Paula of Muskogee; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Serving as pallbearers were Betty's grandsons and nephews, Roger Lovelady, Josh Palmore, Steven Morgan, Cory Reynolds, Gatlin Morgan and Lance Reynolds.
