Betty Sue (Crabtree) Owens was born October 5, 1941 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Walter and Opal Fern (Cannon) Crabtree. A lifelong Wagoner resident, Betty graduated from Wagoner High School. She trained to be a nurse's aide and worked at Wagoner Community Hospital, in both the older and newer locations. She later worked for twenty years as secretary and bookkeeper at Mayes County Propane.

Betty married William Alvin Owens on March 16, 1963. This March 16 would have been their 60 ^th anniversary. Betty loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables, and sewing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty departed this life Wednesday morning, March 15, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK at the age of 81 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Opal Crabtree; a brother, Jerry Crabtree and sister, Linda Harris.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Owens of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and John Little of Muskogee; grandchildren, Reid Little, Parker Little and Tara Little; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Little; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Jones of Wagoner; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

Viewing will be Monday from 10 am until 7 pm, with a visitation for family and friends from 5 until 7 pm.

The Celebration of Betty's life will be at 10 am Tuesday, March 21 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home.
