Bill Dee Lane, 88, departed this life early Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. Bill was born December 20, 1933 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Montie K. Lane and Minnie Lynn (Wagoner-Stein) Lane.

Bill retired from his position as an engineer for the City of Tulsa. Just a few years ago he helped coordinate the building of the First Baptist Church in Hulbert.

Bill loved outdoor activities. It was very important to him to keep his yard neat and trim. But he also loved to tinker in his garage. He was an avid boatman, fisher and hunter.

Bill will be greatly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Pam Lane of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his granddaughters, Jaime Jay and Desiree Gregory and her husband, Justin; great-grandchildren, Addyson Gregory, Briella Gregory, Colton Gregory, Delilah Gregory, Gracie Jay and Jacob Jay; other extended family and friends.

Those who preceded Bill in death include his parents, Montie and Minnie Lane; his wife, Della Lane, son, David Lane; two brothers, Montie Lane and John Stein; and a sister, Hazel Wipler.

A Visitation will be held Sunday from 1-5 pm at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.

The Funeral to celebrate a life well lived will be held at 2 pm Monday, December 19, 2022 in the First Baptist Church in Hulbert, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow in the Hulbert Community (I.O.O.F.) Cemetery.
