The funeral service for Billie Dove Amos will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK.
Billie Amos was born August 31, 1938 in Tulsa, OK to Dovie Jewel (Evans) Winkle and Roland J. Winkle. On April 26, 1976 she married Leamon Butler Amos in Miami, OK.
Billie was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family and cooking and cleaning. She enjoyed interior decorating. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading her Bible.
Billie departed this life on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Wagoner Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Amos; her parents, Dovie and Ronald Winkle; three children, Michael Ray Chandler, Rhonda Chandler and Bobbie Birkes; grandsons, John Lee Scott and Nick A. Amos; five sisters, JoAnn Herd, Betty Hill, Veta Antle, Beverly Williams and Rolinda Winkle and four brothers, Jack Winkle, Jerry Winkle, Tommy Winkle and J.B. Wright.
Survivors include her son, Mark Amos and daughter, Leesa Christian, both of Wagoner; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnny Winkle of Moody; a sister, Becky Ratcliff of Tahlequah; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
