Billy Joe Harris was born March 15, 1965 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Leonard Dewayne and Patsy Pauline Annie (Scroggins) Harris. Billy was a longtime Wagoner resident. He truly liked to work. He was a cement finisher. Earlier he worked for a time in a law firm. In his spare time Billy watched television and enjoyed taking walks. He also enjoyed fixing cars. Most of all Billy like it when the grandchildren, nieces and nephews came over to visit him.

Billy departed this life Monday, August 10, 2020 at his home in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Ann "Sissy" Harris and a stepson, Jimmy Green.

He is survived by his companion of the home, Sherry Lynn (Choate) Harris; children, Tammy Dawn (Harris) Austin and Danny Joe Harris, both of Wagoner; niece, Jamie Lynn Harris Baucom of Muskogee; nephews,  James Edward Dwain Harris Jr. and his companion, Amber Scroggins and Christopher Ryan Harris and his companion, Jamie Yochum, all of Wagoner; two brothers, James Edward Dwain Harris and Douglas Duane Harris and his wife, Debbie, all of Wagoner; grandchildren, Ryder Chancellor, Hooper Chancellor, Landon Chancellor, Drako Austin, Michael Green, Daniel Green, Matthew Green, Jimmy Green and Jett Green; nephews, Levi Young, Devon Baucom and Jesse James Harris; niece, Mickaylee Harris; other extended family and friends.

The family has entrusted Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory with cremation. There is no service planned.
