Obituary

Billy Jean Lilies was born in Searcy County, Arkansas January 14, 1936 to Claude Sr. and Verba Smith.  She passed this life on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her home in Okay, Oklahoma.

Billy Jean attended Okay schools and Drauns School of Business in Muskogee, OK.  She married the love of her life, Odie Liles, September 19, 1953 in Muskogee.  Five children were born to the couple.  Billy Jean was an employee of Brockway Glass for twenty years.  Later she graduated from Carl Albert Junior College, received her real estate license, and owned and operated BJ Bookstore in Stillwell, OK.

Billy Jean was an active member of The United Pentecostal Church for forty years.  She was an avid reader, and loved to crochet, often giving gifts of baby blankets, afghans, and table covers.  She was well known for her baking skills.  Her greatest joy in later years was her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Liles; her son, Glen Liles; grandson, Joshua Abbott; brothers, Claude Smith Jr. and Douglas Smith; and her parents, Claude Sr. and Verba Smith.

Billy Jean is survived by her sons, Dennis Liles of Okay and John Liles; daughters, Phillis Sellers of Okay and Arlene Liles of Conway, Arkansas; 18 loving grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her brother, Leonard (Bill) Smith and Janet of Wagoner; and sisters, Lucille Smith of Okay, and Lena Sue Arthur and Jimmy of Okay.

A Memorial Service will be held at The United Pentecostal Church in Wagoner, OK on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Micah Wisdom officiating.
