B.J. Moss was born January 7, 1924 in Hulbert, OK to Elmer Lee Moss Sr. and Florence Jane (Rutherford) Moss and died peacefully April 7, 2016, with his family by his bedside at Coweta Manor, at the age of 92 years and 3 months.

He helped build the Ft. Gibson Dam and also helped paint the old bridge on Grand Lake. He worked for Beene Plumbing in Broken Arrow, OK for many years and the Coweta Police Department. B.J. was self-employed until he retired.

B.J. loved playing dominoes, watching baseball, and traveling.  He loved to go, especially to watch his great-great grandkids play.

B.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Sr. and Florence Moss; four brothers, James "Red" Moss, Oliver "Bob" Moss, Utah Moss, and Dudley Moss; two sisters, Pansy Kelly and Ann Evans; his wife, Lois Moss; daughter Marie Sissom; daughter-in-law, Linda Lou Moss; and one grandson, Anthony Hargrove.

He is survived by his son, Jay Moss of Coweta, OK; daughter, Linda Hargrove her husband, Eugene, of Haskell, OK; one brother, Elmer "Jr" Moss and wife, Pat; two sisters, Jaulice Chalakee and husband, James, and Leona Foster and husband, Cecil, all of Coweta, OK; three stepsons, Jim and Mary Dunlap of Cottage Grove, OR, Tim and Charlotte Dunlap of Snowflake, AZ, and Ben and Jospie Dunlap of Canyon Road, OR; nine grandchildren; five step grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren, with three on the way; and many other relatives and friends.

The family and friends will gather for Viewing and Visitation from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2016, at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner, OK.

The Funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2016 at Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta. Officiating will be the Rev. Ed Rutherford and the Rev. Sam Davis.

Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, OK. Pallbearers will be Ed Hargrove, Darrell Hargrove, Micky Hargrove, Randy Sissom, Larry Pierson and Brandon Reed.
