Bo Lee Knight was born May 20, 1973 near Presque Isle, Maine to Michael Warren McDonald and Redhawk Bethany (Henson) Lessard. She grew up in Maine and always considered that to be her home state. She had made Kentucky her home since she was eighteen years old.

Bo had a selfless and giving nature and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She loved children and cared for nearly forty foster children over the years. The neighborhood children loved to visit her as well. She loved anything camo. Her hobbies included anything outdoors.  She loved working of any vehicle she could and she loved to camp, fish, hunt and sitting by a campfire.

Bo departed this life Saturday, December 25, 2021 while visiting Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Warren McDonald; a brother, Bart Storm "Stormy" McDonald; all of her grandparents and an aunt, Delores Mayhew.

Survivors include  her wife of eleven years, Fronia Sue Knight (Tiny), ; a son, Keegan Knight ; two daughters, Helen and Heather Barker of Hazard, KY; eight grandchildren, with two more on the way. Her mother, our own Native American story teller and bead artist, Dr. Redhawk Bethany Lessard of Wagoner, OK; other extended family and friends. Her three service dogs, Dezel, Rosie and Tucker.

A memorial service will be planned in Kentucky.
