Bobby Dale "Bob" Payne was born November 28, 1933 in Muldrow, OK to Dale and Eula (Cherry) Payne, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to his wife, Sharon Ann, on April 14, 1990, and they began a happy life together that lasted more than 23 years. Before his retirement Bob worked as a diesel mechanic and later owned his own semi and worked as a trucker. Bob and Sharon made their home in Porter, OK. In his early years Bob was a member of the Quick Draw Club and served as past President of the Porter Roundup Club. He always had a love of horses and enjoyed breeding, raising and racing them. Another hobby Bob liked was being a shade tree mechanic. Bob departed this life on Thursday, December 5, 2013, just a week past his 80th birthday. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ann Payne of the home; his sons and their spouses, Rob and Sarah Payne of Broken Arrow, Joe and Kye Payne of Berryhill, Kevin and Lisa Payne of Broken Arrow and Brian Edwards of Porter; two daughters and their spouses, Vonda and Wayne Davis of Stillwell and Tammy and Steven Douglas of Coweta; two brothers, Jack Payne and his wife, Lee and Jerry Payne; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will be present for a Visitation Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Larry Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blake Payne, Jason Moreland, Dennis Moreland, Kasey Moreland, Darryl Hale and Jimmy Wayne Moreland. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK.
