Obituary

Bobby Duane Scroggins Sr. was born June 30, 1952 in Wagoner, OK to James Buster and Myrtle May (Rankins) Scroggins. Bobby started his career as a concrete finisher early on and through the years worked his way up to management. Through his many years of dedicated hard work that he enjoyed, he left his mark on many projects all of over Tulsa and surrounding areas.

Bobby took great pride in a job well done, whatever he was doing. Bernice recalls how anything he did he gave his all to do it right. His yard was a source of pride, and he believed the yard should be mowed every 2 to 3 days. When he could no longer do the mowing, he was right there overseeing that the job was well done. He was sure to keep an eye on the gates as well, as he worried that his beloved dogs, Daisy, Abbey and Dawg, would be get out of the yard.

In his early years Bobby was very involved with racing in his well-recognized orange car, "Sugar Bear" 86. His family has many wonderful memories of following him to the races. The family will be wearing orange t-shirts at his life celebration in honor of his racing history.

Bobby was very close to his family, and they will miss his presence in their lives. He loved to take his grandchildren for a ride on the golf cart. Friends and family alike knew he could always be relied on to lend a helping hand any way he could. He would often call the family together for a "family council" to help work through any problems one of them might be having. It was important for him to spend as much time as possible with his family. They will forever cherish the many memories they have of him.

Bobby departed this life at the age of 71 years, early on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home, with his loving family around him.
