Bonnie Sue (Trapp) Drake was born in Wagoner, OK on March 19, 1944 to her parents, Ewell and Vera (Semore) Trapp. She was a 1962 graduate of Wagoner High School. Bonnie was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, John C. Drake on Nov. 25, 1961. In 1972, Bonnie began working at the Family Florist Shop in downtown Wagoner. She became the owner in 1973 and later moved the shop to its present location. Bonnie's Flowers became the source of employment for many of Wagoner's youth who would come to know her caring and generous heart. She will be remembered and admired as one of the most successful businesswomen and leaders of her community. She was also involved in her community through her memberships in Beta Sigma Phi and, the Rebekah Lodge and serving on the Board of WAGS. Bonnie was always very involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives, and attending their sporting events gave her the greatest enjoyment and pride. In 1974 she was one of the founding members of the Wagoner Take Down Club, which continues to thrive today. Bonnie had a variety of hobbies, from driving, and winning, in the Powder Puff Car Races to collecting antiques, glass ware and upholstering. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Wagoner. Surrounded by her family, Bonnie passed away, Friday, July 26 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Chase Sullivan, an infant sister, Connie Sue; and a brother-in-law, Jim Drake. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Drake of the home; her children, Debi (Drake) Caffey and husband, Gary, of Catoosa, Johnny Drake and wife, Diana, of Broken Arrow, and Roger Drake and wife, Heather, of Wagoner; her grandchildren, Ashleigh Seybold and husband, Scott, Ashley Sullivan, Ryan, Braden, Brett, Connor, Madeline and Ella Drake; one great-grandchild, Marleigh; her sister Elouise Norman and husband, Marlin, of Wagoner; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgar and Naomi Drake, also of Wagoner; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Glenda Drake of Wagoner; other relatives and many friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 29 at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner A memorial service be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30 at the First Baptist Church in Wagoner, with the Reverend Mark Pointer officiating.
