Bonnie Marie Moreland was born in Barber County, Kansas on April 14, 1918 to W. C. and Neva (Caffey) Clarkson. She attended Porter High School. She married Homer Moreland on April 7, 1934. She was a retired co-owner of Moreland's Dairy Bar. Bonnie enjoyed being a homemaker as well. She loved to cook, enjoyed gardening and was a good seamstress. She made her home in Porter most of her life, moving from Sun City, Kansas. Bonnie departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Moreland; a daughter, Geneva; son, Bill; and two brothers, Glenn and Blaine Clarkson. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Tex and Sue Moreland of Braggs, Sharon and Bob Payne of Porter, Mickey and Kathy Moreland of Porter, Joy and Terry Hendrix of Porter and Ruthie and Benjamin Wray of Broken Arrow; 21 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Jerry Eperson will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter.
