Brian Dean Edwards was born January 11, 1972 to Connie Faryl Edwards and Sharon Ann (Moreland) Payne.  He graduated from Coweta High School in 1990.  Brian was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Broken Arrow.

Brian loved wagons, building two from scratch.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and team roping.   What he loved doing the most was spending time with his son, Briar.

Brian departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 44 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Connie Edwards, stepfather, Bob Payne and his grandparents.

Survivors include his son, Briar Dean Edwards of Broken Arrow; his mother, Sharon Payne of Porter; his sisters, Tammy Douglas and her husband, Steve, of Coweta and Vonda Davis, and her husband, Wayne, of Stilwell; two stepbrothers, Kevin Payne and his wife, Lisa of Broken Arrow, and Joe Payne and his wife, Kye of Berryhill; other relatives and many friends.

The Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Porter, Oklahoma.  Pastor Jerry Eperson will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Travis Jay, Herb Sarty, Steve Douglas, Jimmy Moreland, Cooter Kilgore, Rob Renshaw, James Draper, and Shane Skaggs.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Peace, Mac Stevens, Casey Moreland, and Danny Butler.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, August 9, 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday, August 10, 9-11 a.m. at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.
