Carol Newland, age 88, of Newark, passed away at Altercare Assisted Living on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. She was born on March 25, 1932 in Wagoner, OK to the late Leonard Finn and Lydia (Boatright) Coyne.

A private funeral service will be held at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home and Carol will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, OK.

Early in her life, Carol worked as a nurse for 20 years, ministered and co-pastored in Oklahoma before becoming the secretary and treasurer of The Life Church for many years. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family.

Carol is survived by her children, Linda McKee and Renda Middleton; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Newland; grandchildren, Stephen (Karen) McKee, Richard McKee, Daniel McKee, Lydia Newland and Michael J. (Kayla) Newland; 5 great grandchildren; and 19 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Coyne; husband, George Newland; son, Michael G. Newland; and brothers, Russell, Ronald, and Donald Coyne.

Friends and family will gather at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK at noon on Thursday, June 4, 2020 for viewing before the graveside service at 2:00 pm in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
