Carolyn Sue (Kidd) Brower was born October 22, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia to Orville Clark Kidd and Virginia Elizabeth (Means) Kidd. Most of her life Carolyn lived in the Claremore and Catoosa areas of Oklahoma.
In her early years Carolyn worked as a receptionist in a physicians' office. Later she worked alongside of her daughter, Angie for twenty-five years doing housecleaning. In her spare time, Carolyn loved to dance and especially enjoyed attending the senior dances while following her favorite bands as they changed venues.
Carolyn loved her family, and they will miss her spitfire personality and her sense of humor as they recall how she could always make you laugh.
Carolyn departed this life Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital South, Tulsa, at the age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Virginia Kidd; two sisters, Nancy Jo Hanzel and Deborah Charlene Kidd; her husband, Hank Brower and an infant son, Timothy Pyles.
Survivors include four children and spouses, Diana Choate of Broken Arrow, OK, Jay and Rhonda Pyles of Claremore, OK, Barry Pyles of Broken Arrow, OK and Angelia and Doy Hoffman of Catoosa, OK; her grandchildren and spouses, Brady Choate and Katie Choate, both of Durango, CO, Chris Speer of Arkansas, Willie and Jessica Pyles of Kansas, Mary Jo Gabbert of Stillwater, OK, Stephen Gabbert of Tulsa, OK; Matthew Hoffman of Catoosa, OK and Matthew Walkingstick; many great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sylvia Kidd of Florida; extended family and friends.
Friends and family will view anytime between 9:00 am and Noon on Monday, March 8 at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.
The graveside service will be held at 1 pm Monday at Elmwood Cemetery, Bennett Addition, in Wagoner.
The Reverend Dr. Wesley Graver will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Brady Choate, Jay Pyles, Barry Pyles, Doy Hoffman and Matthew Hoffman.
