The memorial service for Carrie Ann Lancaster, a former Wagoner resident, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the First Christian Church, 415 Northeast 2nd Street, Wagoner, OK. The Reverend Will Smith will officiate.

Carrie departed this life in January in Yuma, Arizona, where she had been living.

Below is a poem Carrie wrote at age 11 that speaks of her faith in God and His love.

HE'LL KEEP YOU IN HIS ARMS

No need to wander to places you don't belong.

No need to ponder when nothing is wrong.

God will hold you in his arms.

From the beast of the jungles, to the farmers on a farm.

God will hold you, oh so tight.

He will keep sin from you with all his might.

Then when night will fall and the never ending crickets call,

He'll still be holding on tight till the early morning light.
