Charles Giffon Westbrook was born November 5, 1944 in Springdale, Arkansas to Jack Giffon Westbrook and Ima Jean (Bishop) Lewis. Charles attended college before his career as a distribution manager with Circuit City.
Charles loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting and sports, especially football. He enjoyed CB radios, whittling and wood working. A special hobby of Charles was rebuilding classic cars. He enjoyed participating in a couple of movie productions while working as an extra.
Charles had a number of interesting hobbies, but his main love was his family, especially his kids and grandkids. They will greatly miss him in their lives, but will always cherish the times they had with him.
Charles departed this life Tuesday evening, September 26, 2023 in Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK at the age of 78 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Bill Lewis; his father, Jack Westbrook; parents-in-law, Virginia and Charlie Watkins and son-in-law, Mathew Hyde.
Charles is survived by his loving family who will cherish his memory: his wife, Janice Westbrook of the home in Coweta, OK; son and his significant other, Eric Westbrook and Kimberly Neugart of Morro Bay, CA; daughter and her significant other, Tamara Hyde and Marte Christian of Coweta, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Joanah Westbrook of Corona, CA; grandchildren and their spouses, Shayann and Mike Singh, Ashley Westbrook, Joshua and Cara Hyde, Zachary Westbrook, Jarod Trinidad, Noah Westbrook, Hope Westbrook and Rechele Griffin; great-grandchildren, Brayden Hyde, Harley Westbrook, Bethany Hyde, Gabriel Singh, Ethan Singh and Bailey Hyde; his mother, Charlene Westbrook; brother, Bobby Westbrook; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Cari Westbrook; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Craig Wilson; sister, Jackie Treate; numerous nieces and nephews he dearly loved; extended family and friends.
Private family viewing will be at 4-5 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023, followed by a Visitation for friends and family at 5-7 PM, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory
A Celebration of Life, honoring Charles Westbrook, will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Pastor Dale Crumby will officiate.
