Obituary

Charles Edward Wilson Sr. was born January 23, 1935 in Okay, Oklahoma to Arlie and Bernice (Taylor) Wilson. He attended college following high school and later became a welder and a member of the Boilermakers Union in Tulsa. For a time Charles played minor league baseball. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Muskogee Bedouin Shrine. Charles departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his home in Muskogee, OK at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 5 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Bernice; a brother, Arvel Wilson and a sister, Ruth "Sis" Posey. Survivors include two sons, Charles "Charlie" Edward Wilson Jr. and his wife, Rene, and Darrell Ray Wilson and his wife, Sue, all of California; two daughters, Rhonda Michelle Crenshaw of California and Christina Marie Wilson of Tulsa; sixteen grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Wilson and his wife, Leona, and Johnny Wilson and his wife, Valerie; a sister, Louise Nicely and her husband, Tommy; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel.
