Obituary

Cheryl Dyan Donica, 54, a long time Antlers, OK resident, died Monday, March 1, 2010 in Wagoner, Ok, where she had been making her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 5, at the Mills-Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers. Cheryl was born October 21, 1955 in Star City, AR. After graduating from high school she attended college and began a career as waitress, baker and business owner. She is most remembered for her restaurant business. Cheryl liked gardening, fishing, camping, canoeing-anything to do with the outdoors. She was an accomplished oil painter, cook and baker. Cheryl's family remembers her as a caregiver, whether to senior citizens for whom she cooked, by caring for all animals she found, or in caring for the ill. Cheryl's children and grandchildren were her life. She would listen patiently to all her grandchildren's stories and considered herself blessed by being their grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Kasey Valdivia and her husband, Richard, of Nampa, Idaho, Russell Marks of Greenwood, AR and Tera Moore and her husband, Shannon, of Wagoner; her parents, Aubrey Dean and Violet Hale; ten grandchildren, Heather Garman and her fiancé, Josh Johnson, Billy Wells, Hailey Garman, Avery Marks, Brittanny Moore, Hannah Garman, Elijah Marks, Bethanny Moore, Benjamin Marks and Keanu Valdivia; other family, including Christy Marks and Lyman Garman, and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunts.
