Obituary

Cletus Thell Berry, age 60, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He was born August 10, 1955 to John R. Berry and Mildred Blackwell-Berry in Van Buren, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by both parents, John and Mildred Berry, an infant brother, Jewel Clifton, first wife, Helen Berry, second wife, Tamara Wiedel, maternal and paternal grandparents, and brother-in-law, Dwight Cole. He is survived by four children: one son, Nicholas Thell Berry; three daughters, Emily Rae Berry-Byrd and husband, Jessie, Chelsie Lynn Wiedel, and Carley Jane Estes and husband, Brandon; ten grandchildren, Tayler Berry, Ashley Berry, Annabelle Berry, Frey and Blaine Godfrey, Jordan Byrd, Kylie and Chloe Hamilton and Hayden and Hailey Estes. He is also survived by nine siblings: Ann Fairchild and husband, Lonnie, John E. Berry and wife, Sue, Norma Pyland and husband, David, Reece Vincent Berry, Chet Berry and wife, Donna (George), Patricia Cole, Velma Mae Berry-Smith, Lloyd Wayne Berry and wife, Laura, and Linda Deckard and husband, Johnny. Many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Cletus was a jack of all trades, but mastered in construction. He was a simple man and found pleasure in helping children with special needs, spending time with all of his family, camping, watching wrestling, and enjoyed Mother Nature and being outside. He was a champion boxer who was known for his heart of gold. Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior and attending church. Services will be officiated by Reverend Adam Bourne on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, Oklahoma, followed by Graveside Committal at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Michael Cole, Richard Berry, John Berry, Junior Berry, Derrick Berry, and Marcus Chuculate. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Berry, Brandon Estes, and Jessie Byrd. Viewing hours are Tuesday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. The family will gather with friends for a Visitation from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Mallett Funeral Home.
