Clyde Harold Knight was born January 23, 1946 in Lincolnton, North Carolina to J. W. and Jewel (Miller) Knight. He passed from this life Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 4 days. Clyde was a graduate of Tulsa Webster High School. Just after high school he fought in Vietnam while serving as a Corporal in the United States Army. Before retirement Clyde was employed by Major Oil Company as a service station manager. He was a member of the Sapulpa VFW and liked to play golf. Clyde also enjoyed playing baseball and was a baseball fan. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Knight of the home; his children and their spouses and his grandchildren, Rick and Misty Knight and their children, Mirakle Knight and Baily Jones, all of Tulsa, Sharon and Justin Nail and their daughter, Makenzie Lea Butler, all of Owasso, Karen and Kenny Cronister and children, Kayla and Micheal Cronister, all of Osage, Vicki and Jim Puckett and their son, Danny Brown, all of Tulsa; numerous loving brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; a step daughter, Dana Beard, and a brother, Junior Knight. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Mr. Jerry Stone will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard from Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
