Clyde Ray Montgomery was born July 26, 1939 in Muskogee, OK to Clyde Cecil and Annie (Isom) Montgomery. Following graduation from high school Clyde served in the United States Army. He married the former Mildred Ellen Kirk on October 23, 1965. They were blessed with two children, Clyde Berry Montgomery and Charmaine Montgomery.

Clyde was a quiet and reserved man who enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many years working his farm in the Porter area.

Clyde departed this life late Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 80 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly fifty years, Mildred Montgomery, on October 10, 2016; by his parents, Cecil and Annie Montgomery; and his daughter, Charmaine Montgomery.

Survivors include his son, Berry Montgomery of Porter, OK; two sisters, Anna Mae Welch and husband, Dean of Porter, OK and Donna Herd and husband, Dwight of Coweta, OK; a brother, Roy Dale Montgomery and wife, Angie of Fort Gibson, OK; a number of nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

Following cremation a graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK, where Mr. Montgomery will be laid to rest beside his wife, Mildred Ellen Montgomery.
