Services for Dalton John Buford, 82, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, Oklahoma with the Reverend Phil Buford officiating. A Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Mallett Funeral Home.l Dalton was born April 11, 1931 at his family home in Wagoner, Oklahoma to his parents, William Blake and Walsie (Charbonneau) Buford. He passed away at his home in Hulbert on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was united in marriage to Donna (Jones) Buford on October 7, 1950. He had attended Victory School at Sunset Valley. Dalton was a carpenter and also had a passion for race horses and raising cattle. Dalton was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Donna Buford, his parents, as well as his siblings Lloyd Buford, Lena Johnson, J.B. Buford, Don Buford, Billy Buford and Bob Buford. He is survived by his three children, Tommy Buford and wife, Kathy, of Hulbert, Johnny Buford and wife, Janet, of Tahlequah, and LaDonna Knight and husband, Gary, also of Hulbert. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin and Kendall Buford, Megan Buford, Brent Buford and Miranda, Cassy Knight, and Jace Buford; as well as great-grandchildren, Jasper Markus Buford and Allee June Buford. Dalton is also survived by two sisters, Doris Cantrell and husband, Donald, and Laverne Dumond all of Wagoner; as well as many other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Robert Parker, Rusty Lamons, Hunter Cunningham, Wahoo Gifford, Tommy Eddings, and Rick Steeley. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner.
