Darryl (Bird)  Gene Hale Sr. was born March 30, 1966 in Muskogee, OK to Tony Gene Hale and Betty Lois (Cole) Hale. He grew up in Porter, OK and graduated from Porter High School in 1984.

Darryl was employed at Custom Seating in Muskogee, OK. He enjoyed his time there and considered many of his work family as truly family.

Darryl's family, especially his grandchildren, were the most important thing in his life. They will cherish the memories made with him, including mowing with Darryl Jr. and Anthony. Darryl enjoyed fishing and tinkering as well. He was proud of the money he made while playing casino games on his phone.

Darryl departed this life on January 9, 2024 at the age of 57 years. He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents, his father, Tony and a brother-in-law, Domitilo. He will be greatly missed by his family and coworkers.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl Jr. and Kelci Hale of Porter, OK and Dylon and Kristen Hale of Muskogee, OK; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and David Cole of Wagoner, OK; his mother, Betty Hale of Porter, OK; grandchildren, Anthony, Adalee, Cory, Darrly, Bentley, Shawn, Chloe, Wyatt, Hunter, Wesson, Lendyn, Parker and William; one great-grandchild, Rickie Mullen; a sister, Dana Macareno; numerous nieces and nephews, including Domitilo and wife, Ally, Carlos and Kasey; other extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 11:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family will greet friends and family at a visitation held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, from 5-7 P.M.

A Celebration of Life honoring the Life of Darryl Hale Sr. will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, in Porter, Oklahoma. Reverend Ben Hale will officiate.
