David Samuel "Sam" Howard was born June 6, 1953 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Carroll and Aleta (Smith) Howard. He worked as a truck driver for several industries, including the oil fields and for Haskell Foods. "Sammy" died, at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 20 days, on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Haskell Care Center following an extended illness. He had made his home in Porter, OK where he was raised. His parents and a brother, Rodney Howard, preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Cary Davidson of Spanivaw; three grandchildren, Brian Besser, Jacob Bresser, Micheal Addison; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Besser and Faith Besser; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delilah and Wayne Boggs of Broken Arrow and Marilyn and Randy Wisdom of Springdale, AR; his nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Wagoner.
