Okay

David Lee Strebel Jr departed this life on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 66 years. He was born on October 5, 1959, to David Lee Strebel Sr and Amanda Louise (Worrick) Strebel in Muskogee, Oklahoma. David attended and graduated from Okay Public Schools and was a proud member of the Class of 1977. He married the love of his life, Carol Diane Rappe, on February 29, 2008.

David had a passion for the things he loved, and he loved them wholeheartedly. He was a devoted NASCAR fan, a loyal St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and a true supporter of OU football. Whether it was race day, game day, or football season, David was cheering on his teams with enthusiasm. Music was another great joy in his life. He appreciated all genres and shared that love by serving as a DJ for many events, bringing people together through song and celebration. He enjoyed traveling and was known for taking spontaneous short trips, often staying at local hotels just to experience something different and enjoy a brief getaway. Those simple adventures reflected his appreciation for life and his desire to make the most of every moment.

Above all else, David loved his family immensely. His greatest pride was his children and grandchildren, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Strebel; his parents, David and Amanda Strebel; his son, Billy Lee; his brother, Bryan Strebel; his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Marie Strebel; and his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Gertrude Worrick.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Nicholas Strebel of Salina, Oklahoma, David Mitchel Strebel of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jessica Marie Simons and husband, Mikey of Kansas, Anthony Taylor Lee and wife, Rachel of Pryor, Oklahoma, Amanda Eubanks and husband, Jeff of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Audra Moore of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Nicholas Jr, Shelby, Nate, Heath, Kindell, Marshall, Rylee, Martha, Jackson, Briar, Ryker, and Maverick; his sisters, Deanna Turnham and husband Rickey of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Lisa Morris and husband Ivan of Owasso, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

David will be remembered for his love of family, his spirited loyalty to his favorite teams, his music, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
