Delisca Jane (Young) Cole was born on November 3, 1956, to Clarence Robert Young and Mary Jane (Hayes) Young, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the family farmhouse in Hulbert, Oklahoma, at the age of 68.
Delisca was a proud resident of Hulbert, Oklahoma, she grew up on her family's farm inheriting many invaluable lessons that shaped her character and guided her throughout her life. She met and married Ralph Cole, and together they built their family, she proudly raised their son, whose accomplishments and character she cherished deeply.
Delisca was a dedicated and hardworking individual who devoted 25 years of service to Lake Region Electric Company, demonstrating her unwavering commitment. She also worked at CJ's Convenient Store at Taylors Ferry, where her warm personality and genuine love for engaging with customers made her a beloved presence in the store.
Delisca enjoyed visiting flea markets and loved to fish; she particularly loved barbecue, especially when prepared by her grandson, Eli Cole. A dedicated member of Spring Valley FreeWill Baptist Church for several years. She held her grandchildren close to her heart, proud of their achievements and delighted in taking them out to eat. Additionally, she had a deep affection for her dogs and cats finding the joy in the companionship they provided.
Delisca is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Jane Young; and her husband, Ralph Cole.
Those left to cherish the many memories of her life include her son and daughter-in-law, David Eli Cole and April of Hulbert, OK; her grandchildren, Eli Steven Cole and Alison Mae Cole, both of Hulbert, OK. Two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Bryan Young and wife, Susie of Hulbert, OK, and David Joe Young of Tahlequah, OK; her close friends, Sharon Alred and Ruby Baldridge; and many cousins, and other friends who will miss her greatly.
Family will greet friends at a Visitation on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home. David Joe Young will officiate.
Interment will follow at Hulbert Community Cemetery, where Delisca will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ralph Cole. Those serving as casket bearers will be the Spring Valley Fire Fighters.
