Derrick Wayne Berry, 22, of Wagoner, OK, died Monday morning, March 20, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born January 7, 1995 in Tahlequah, OK to Loyd Wayne Berry and Angie (Hough) Turner.

Derrick lived much of his life in Wagoner. He was employed as a high pressure gas line inspector for the USIC Contracting Company, mostly doing inspections for ONG. He was known by friends and family alike to always be willing to help others any way he could. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed family dinners. His hobbies included spending time on his boat, fishing, shooting and hunting. He loved spending time with Bethany, the love of his life.

Derrick is survived by his wife, Bethany Berry of the home; his father and step-mother, Loyd and Laura Berry of Stilwell, OK; his mother, Angie (Hough) Turner of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Melvina Berry; step-sister, Mary Kate Killer; grandparents, Ron and Deborah Simmons of Wagoner and Michael Lee Hough of Indiana; nephew, Trenton Scott; niece Kylie Blair; parents-in-law, Kaye and Darrick Barrett of Wagoner, OK; many aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mildred and LeRoy Gooding and John Russell Berry; great-grandfather, Richard Thomas Simmons; uncles, Cletus Berry, Reece Berry, Dwight Cole and Jewel Clifton; and aunt, Ann Fairchild.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday evening at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Mallett Chapel. The Reverend Adam Bourne will officiate.

Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Wagoner, OK. Pallbearers will be Richard Berry, Michael Cole, Aaron Cromwell, Junior Deckard, Cody Driscoll, Frankie Elliott, and Ben Snodgrass. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chester Berry, Eddie Berry, Jay Bird ,Doug Driscoll and Blaine Godfrey.
