Domitilo Macareno-Quistian Sr. was born May 20, 1973 in San Luis, Mexico to Prudencio Macareno and Macaria (Quistian) Macareno.  Domitilo moved to the United States at the age of nineteen and has made his home in Porter, Oklahoma since 1992.

He married the former Dana Jewel Hale on February 14, 1996. Through their twenty-five years of marriage Domitilo and Dana formed a strong family bond. To Domitilo his family was his life, and he especially loved being around his grandchildren.

Domitilo worked hard to take care of his family. He worked as a structural welder, many times working on bridge construction. His fellow employees will greatly miss him as well.

He departed this life Tuesday afternoon, September 28, 2021 at Saint John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 48 years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Dana Jewel Macareno of the home; his parents, Prudencio and Macaria Macareno of Porter, Oklahoma; his children, Domitilo Macareno Jr. and his wife, Allyssa, Kasey Macareno and Carlos Macareno, all of Porter, Oklahoma; nephews who were like sons, Darryl Hale Jr. and his wife, Kelci and Dylon Hale, all of Porter, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Addyson Macareno and Domitilo Macareno; brothers, Bulmaro Macareno and wife, Dominga of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Gustavo Macareno and Purdenico Macareno, both of Porter, Oklahoma; sisters, Pilar and her husband, Fransisco Tovar, Hovita Macareno all of Mexico, Ester Macereno of Muskogee and Elizabet Macareno of Mexico; extended family and friends.

Friends and family may call for viewing Monday 5 – 7 pm and Tuesday from 9 am – 5 pm.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK.
