Dorothy Helen (Winchester) Regan, 88, a longtime McAlester resident, died Friday, October 29, 2010 in Tulsa, OK where she had made her home for the past six years. She was born February 22, 1922 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ralph and Marguerite (Travers) Winchester. In 1964 she moved to McAlester. She was active in volunteer work, especially at the McAlester General Hospital and with the CASA program. She was a collector of many things. She enjoyed her friends and was a member of the McAlester Country Club. Dorothy adored her grandchildren and loved time with her family. For a number of years she was involved in the real estate industry. Dorothy is survived by a son, Michael Regan of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Wayne Combest of Mill Creek, WA and Jackie and Jack Lewis of Coweta, OK; three grandchildren, Tara Bringham of Jenks, OK, Brent Combest of Bellevue, WA and Emily Regan of Flagstaff, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Colby Bringham, Chase Bringham and Avery Combest; other relatives, including her nephew, Allen Winchester of Cordis Lakes, AZ; and her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Regan; her parents and a brother and sister. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Memory Gardens in McAlester, OK. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Mallett Funeral Home.
