Dylan Andrew Ruehle

April 1, 2010 — June 9, 2026

Gillette

Some people leave footprints. Dylan Andrew Ruehle left court markings, fishing lines, golf divots, and a trail of memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.

Dylan departed this life on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family, following complications from an accident. Though his time here was far too short, the life he lived was full of adventure, laughter, and moments that mattered.

Born on April 1, 2010, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Audrea Hoffmann and Kyle Ruehle, Dylan split his time between Gillette, Wyoming where he lived with this mother Audi and dad Travis, and Wagoner, Oklahoma, where he spent summers making memories with the Ruehle family.

Dylan brought an incredible light energy and joy into the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a young man of deep character who centered his life around the things that mattered most: his family, friends, sports, the beauty of the outdoors, and his love for God.

He was fiercely devoted to his family and friends. Dylan was the ultimate fan for his family-constantly showing up to cheers on his sisters and cousins at their sporting events. To his friends he was loyal, supportive, and always armed with a contagious smile that could brighten any room.

Dylan had a deep love for nature and being outside, which paired perfectly with his passion for sports. He poured his heart into his two favorite games, finding joy both on the court, and on the green.

While enduring the elements of Wyoming weather, Dylan truly found his love for golf. He spent countless hours perfecting his swing and sharing the love of the game with family and friends.

Basketball. He loved the energy of the game, the camaraderie of being part of a team, and the thrill of a perfect shot. Whether playing for thunder basin high school or shooting hoops at the rec with his friends his competitive spirit always stood out.

One of Dylan’s greatest gifts was the way he made people feel special. He was respectful, thoughtful, and genuinely polite. He carried himself with a maturity beyond his years and treated people with kindness and respect. Dylan shared a profound bond with his siblings, close circle of friends and cousins. Together, they made heartfelt pacts promising that no matter what, they would always be together and have each other's back. While that future looks different now, the love, loyalty, and strength of that promise will remain unbroken forever in their hearts. Every laugh, every adventure, and every moment spent together now serves as a reminder of a remarkable young man whose friendship was genuine and whose heart was full of love.

Whether you knew him for years or only a few moments. Dylan made an impression that lasted.

His family and friends will remember the laughter, the adventures, the conversations, and the countless memories that now become treasured stories. While hearts are broken by his absence, they are also filled with gratitude for the privilege of having known him.

Dylan’s story was not measured by years, but by the joy he shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will continue to live on in every cast of a fishing line, every early morning on the golf course, every day spent on the courts, and every adventure waiting just beyond the horizon.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family takes comfort in knowing that a life filled with this much love, laughter, and adventure leaves behind memories that time can never erase.

Dylan is survived by his loving parents Audi and Travis Tate, Brittany and Kyle Ruehle: his sisters and brother Lily and Natalie Tate, Avrie Aadahl, Kylie Ruehle, Ryder Aadahl his grandparents Lorrie Tate, David and Vicki Tate, Gerald and Jeanette (Morgan) Hoffmann, Gary and Dana Allison, Rod and Kathy Ruehle, Shawn and Brenda Aguirre: his dotings aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a community of extended family, youth group members, teammates and friends who loved him dearly. Dylan was preceded in death by aunt, Emily Hightower.
