IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie E.
Hefner
May 9, 1934 – June 30, 2022
Eddie Eugene Hefner was born May 9, 1934 in the Blue Mound Township, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of seven children born to Vicy Jane (Acord) and Eddie Lee Hefner.
Eddie married the love of his life, the former Helen Lavon Morgan, on August 29, 1953. They started out at a young age and began a life together that lasted nearly 69 years. They were blessed with a daughter, Kathy. When Kathy married Mike Rebholz they felt they were blessed again with a son. This close knit family enjoyed working together as well as their family time.
Before retirement Eddie built a career as a serviceman. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard followed by the U.S. Air Force, and then in the U.S. Air National Guard.
His family remembers Eddie as a man with a big heart. He loved all animals and took in animals who needed a home. Eddie was always a promoter of the betterment of his hometown, Wagoner. Many of his contributions were done quietly and without expectation of recognition. Many times people would bring him things to fix, which he gladly did and with great care. He loved to be working and took care of everything for his family.
Eddie departed this life Thursday evening, June 30, 2022 in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee and Vicy Jane Hefner; all of his siblings, William Hefner, James L. Hefner, Bea Spence Perry, Millie Metz, Dorothy Foster and Pauline Wilson.
His loving family who will miss him greatly include his wife, Helen Hefner of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mike Rebholz of Wagoner, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Casey Rebholz and his wife, Danae and Wesley Rebholz; one great-grandson, Casen Rebholz; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
