Obituary

The funeral service for Ray McCollough will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 24, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 325 Main Street, Porter, OK. The Reverend Dale Clayton will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Mike McCollough, Mark McCollough, Brian McCollough, Mark Lampley, Christopher Lampley, Brandon Fowler and Gunnar McCollough. Honorary pallbearers will Jim Tedder, Bill Tedder, Olen Wofford, Leroy Hanson, Marvin Keefover, Alvin Linzy and Gary Garrison.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner.

Edgar Ray McCollough was born November 21, 1937 in Porter, OK to Edgar Newman "Bud" McCollough and Bessie Eudean (Nelson) McCollough. Following graduation from Porter High School Ray served four years in the United States Army. On June 10, 1960, Ray married the former May Nell Wofford. They made many happy memories together until her death in December, 2018.

Ray was a lifelong Porter resident. He liked farming all his life and was owner of the auto parts and appliances store as well as the McCollough Tag Agency. In his spare time Ray enjoyed playing dominoes.

Ray died early Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 81 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Bessie McCollough and his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Nell McCollough.

Survivors include his four children and their spouses, Brenda and Mark Lampley of Porter, Mike McCollough of Porter, Mark and Kim McCollough of Muskogee and Brian and Amber McCollough of Porter; grandchildren, Christopher Lampley, Amber Daniels and husband, Chris, Alisha McCollough, Brittaney Fowler, Kady Voss and husband, Brandon, Brandon Fowler, Gunnar McCollough and Gracie McCollough; great-grandchildren, Morgan, C.J. and Wyatt Daniels, Paisley and Presley Voss and Aiden and Bryce Fowler; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jim Tedder; brother, Darrell McCollough; other extended family and friends.
