Edith Marie "Puddie" Bingham, 45, of Muskogee, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Boston Avenue Baptist Church in Muskogee. The Reverend John Curtis and the Reverend Donny Echols will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, OK. Edith Marie was born January 3, 1965 in Norman, OK to Irvin Glenn and Carolyn (Parks) Wheeler. Following high school she attended Connors State College where she earned an associate's degree. "Puddie" was employed as the Supervisor at the Muskogee County Juvenile Detention Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Although a big OU fan, her favorite spectator sport was watching her son play. Survivors include her two children, Russell Wayne Bingham and Shelby Lee Bingham, both of the home; her mother, Carolyn Wheeler of Muskogee; brother and sister-in-law, Irvin and Kim Wheeler of Muskogee; maternal grandmother, Clara (Cannon) Parks of Muskogee; a niece, Whitney Wheeler of Muskogee; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Wheeler, grandfather, L.L. "Cotton" Parks; and great grandparents, T.B. and Bessie Cannon. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Tulsa.
