Elizabeth Ann (Griffin) Roets was born on July 13, 1958 at Fitzsimons General Hospital in Aurora, Colorado to Gilbert and Betty (Wadsworth) Griffin. Liz was the youngest of the children that included three brothers, Mike, GK and Gary and three sisters, Pamela, Marsha, and Jackie.

Family was the most important thing to Liz. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They would go to the river, camping, and out to eat. You never knew when she would pile up the kids for a spontaneous day trip. Liz was a loving and generous mother and nanny with the biggest heart. She never knew a stranger and knew someone everywhere she went.

Liz departed this life at her home outside of Porter, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Betty Griffin, and sisters, Jackie Greene and Marsha Peachy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sally Darrow of Broken Arrow, Jimmy and Sonia Darrow, Cody Griffin, and Josh and Brooke Roets all of Tulsa; her six grandchildren, Mallory Ainesworth, and her fiancé, Zack Ward, Jeremiah Highsmith, Gage King, Mason Griffin, Greenlee Roets, and Daxton Roets; one great grandchild, Everly Ward; a sister, Pamela Griffin; her brothers, Mike Griffin, GK Griffin, and Gary Griffin, along with many nieces and nephews, family members, and friends who will miss her greatly.

A memorial service celebrating Liz's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Muskogee Church of the Nazarene, 2700 East Peak Blvd, Muskogee, OK.
