Ella Mae (Coulson) Oliver was born on November 30, 1934 to Carl Coulson and Virgie Mae (Young) Thompson in Yonkers, Oklahoma. Ella Mae graduated from Wagoner High School in 1953 and had a career working at a Tulsa post office until her retirement. She married Irvin Lynn Oliver, and they were married nearly 54 years at the time of his passing in 2007.

Church was very important to Ella Mae. She attended Coweta Assembly of God Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Young at Heart Group and a bible study group.

Ella Mae departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at her home in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Phillip Coulson; and sisters, Phyllis Cutter and Edwina Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Don Oliver and his wife, Roberta, of Broken Arrow; daughter, Sandy Morman and her husband, Russell, of Bixby; grandchildren, Christy Allen and her husband, Mike, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Scott Oliver and his wife, Hallie, of Chouteau, A. J. Carolan of Tulsa, and Casey Carolan of Bethany, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Emma, Drew, Sophie, Noah, and Rylee; brother, Alan Thompson of Broken Arrow; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service celebrating Ella Mae's life will be on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Coweta Assembly of God Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be A.J. Carolan, Scott Oliver, Mike Allen, John Williams, Shane Dill and Brandon Porter. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
