A Mass of Christian Burial for Ella Margaret White, 88, long-time Wagoner resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 19 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Coweta, OK, with the Reverend Father Joe Townsend officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. Margaret was born Dec. 30, 1924 in Temple, OK to H.K. and Annette (Hiner) Henderson. When she was three years old her family moved to the Wagoner area, where she grew up and graduated from Wagoner High School. On Jan. 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to Leo J. White at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wagoner, a union lasting 62 years, until his passing in 2005. Margaret served her community in many capacities throughout her life. She worked as an abstractor and office manager for Wagoner County Abstract over 45 years. She was a founding member of Rural Water District 6 and served as secretary for over 25 years. Margaret was also a founding member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Coweta where she remained a member throughout her life. With her family, Margaret operated a dairy farm west of Wagoner for 36 years, and she was always a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Margaret passed away peacefully, Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at St. John's Hospital in Broken Arrow. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo J. White; a daughter, Marie Annette White, one year ago; a sister, Laura Kendall; and a brother, Hugh Henderson. She is survived by six of her children, Jim White and wife, Carol, of Muskogee, Catherine Greb and husband, Leslie, of Texas City, TX, Richard White and wife, Tammie, of Irving, TX, Mary Sharma and husband, Vinnie of Niceville, FL, Barbara Knowlton and husband, Dick of Las Vegas, NV and Frances MacArthur of Bartlesville, OK; 13 grandchildren, Jaime Smith, Beth Bass, Karl Greb, Derek and Aaron White, Arun, Aneil, Jonathan and Tresa Sharma, Frances and Margaret Knowlton, Jason, Jennifer and Veronica MacArthur; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers will be Tony McCoy, Shaun Flock, Robert Dalton, Dick Dalton, Steve Soerries, and Marlin Norman. Memories and condolences may be sent on-line at www.mallettfuneralhome.com .
